RESCO HOUSE was established in 1966. RESCO HOUSE has been providing the WPC house for a quarter of a century. The WPC (Wall Precast Concrete) method is an ideal construction method which was developed after the war in cooperation with government and private sectors under the initiative of the Construction Ministry (now Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kinki Regional Development Bureau) to build a "Flame-resistant and quake-resistant modem home" and we were one of the several private companies.In the "Systematic Survey of Industrialized House-making Technologies" compiled bythe National Museum of Nature and Science in 2010,RESCO HOUSE is introduced as a pioneer of Japanese concrete prefabricated houses. RESCO HOUSE has built more than 15,000 homes. We have been delivering safe and secure houses to many customers over a long period of time.
Under the WPC method, the reinforced concrete panels (PC panels) prefabricated in the factory are assembled into "Strongly integrated box type" homes. Compared to the same box-frame construction type house such as wooden 2x4 and panel houses, the WPC type house has higher stiffness and can withstand deformation in case of earthquakes. PC panels used as primary building components are of high quality concrete, fabricated in a type-qualified factory under stringent quality management.Its stiffness is approximately 1.5 times of site-cast concrete. In further pursuit of the features of the PC panel, the WPC method for building safer houses has been developed.
The PC panel, which is the primary member of RESCO HOUSE, 1s made by tightly integrating concrete, which is strong against compression, and reinforcing bars, which are strong against tensile force. It is strong, hard, and hardly degrades. On top of these features, it is highly durable and has a life span of 180 years or longer. The PC panels are manufactured at RESCO HOUSE's factory under stringent qualitymanagement. Its stiffness is approximately l. 8 times of site-cast concrete. Adopting the WPC method that integrates PC panels into boxes, homes delivered by RESCO HOUSE have a durability that is two to three-times stronger than conventional homes.
Since a home built with the WPC method has a box type structure, the home has a structure of which all planes such as walls, floors, and ceilings resist the seismic force. In other words, the seismic load is not centralized on a part of the home, but is distributed over the entire building, realizing high resistance against the seismic force. Since it can cope with external force from any direction, it displays high protection against any type of earthquake (horizontal as well as vertical seismic vibrations). It was proven that homes with the WPC structure do not collapse nor get damaged during the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake or Kumamoto earthquake that caused significant damages. Not a single window was damaged.
The multi-barrier wall (double-wall and four-layer structure) 1s adopted in RESCO HOUSE houses. By combining PC panels with urethane foam that is highly airtight thermal insulating material, the external air is shut out. In addition, a layer of air is formed between panels and urethane foam helps the insulation performance improve. With this multi-barrier wall, comfortable indoor condition is achieved where it is cool in sUilllller and warm in winter in the rooms. It also features excellent sound insulation. Since the PC panel is 3 or more times heavier than the Autoclaved Lightweight Concrete (ALC) panel and wooden panel, it has excellent sound insulation. Furthermore, urethane foam used as thermal insulating material is excellent in absorbing sound and airtightness, and can shut out sound from outside and indoors.
Resilient to any types of disasters such as typhoons and tomados, which could destroy buildings with tremendous external forces, as well as wind and flood damage, which could cause floods and/or mudslides. Concrete homes that are heavier than wooden or light-gauge steel construction homes show resistance that withstands these types of wind and flood damages. The building structure ofRESCO HOUSE can withstand strong winds that could tear off a roof.It has a performance that can diminish not only risks caused by earthquakes, but those caused by other various disasters as well.
The quality cannot be kept constant if it depends on the skills of craftsmen or climatic conditions even if the housing components are of high caliber. RESCO HOUSE is manufacturing its PC panels in the factory to achieve high quality. PC panels which have successfully passed the strict inspection have been used. These panels can be assembled simply with bolts at the site, which makes construction management easy; assures the stable quality; and shortens the construction period.
